Dorothy Elizabeth Ball, 83, of Springfield, formerly of Bloomington, died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday (July 9, 1996) at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Staab Funeral Home, Springfield, the Rev. Robert Walker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, near Riverton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Memorial Medical Center for cardiac research.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest I. Ball; one son, Ernest “Ernie” L. Ball Jr., Springfield; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
