Bonnie Bessie Herring, 81, passed away on June 9, 2008, at Hendersonville Medical Center.
The funeral was Tuesday at Austin & Bell Funeral Home, White House, the Rev. Paul Baggett officiated. Interment will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Boyles Cemetery in Red Springs.
Herring was born on July 29, 1926, in North Carolina, to the late John and Minnie Jernigan Sealey.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Herring; a son, David E. Herring; and a daughter, Gloria Jean Herring.
Surviving are her sons and a daughter-in-law, Roger D. and Terry (Peggie) Herring; two daughters, Melba H. Brendle and Wanda Hart; nine grandchildren, Harold Lemar and Rob Ferguson, Amy Harper, Sherry Council, Linda Ann Creech, Michael T. Herring, Lisa H. Rendon, Russell and Angela Hart; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home is serving the family.
