PEKIN – Betty Jean Seelye Bouchez, 63, of Pekin died at 12:22 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at Pekin Hospital. Born Nov. 22, 1942, in Pekin to Henry Harrison and Velma Iona Jarrett Seelye, she married Charles Norman Bouchez on Jan. 28, 1961, in Pekin. He died in August 1976 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her father and one granddaughter. Surviving are her mother of Pekin; one daughter, Charlotte (and Steve) Hedricks of Pekin; three sons, Rickey, Ronald and Charles, all of Pekin; two stepsons, Charles Bouchez Jr. of Ohio and Floyd Rivers of Peoria; one sister, Velma (and Terry) Seelye Mylott of Pekin; one brother, William Seelye (and Verla Robinson) of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was a certified nurse’s aide at Camelot Nursing Home in Salem, Va., before retiring. She also worked in the cafeteria at Pekin Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. There will be no services. Cremation will be accorded after the visitation.
