Friends are invited to call at the Hughes & Sons Funeral Home, 1880 Davis St., Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer service at the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Elmira Heights, at 10 a.m. Burial St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery. She is survived by husband, Albert G. (Dutch) Schiefen; daughters, Mrs. Robert (Maryann) Schweikhard of W. Seneca, N.Y.; Mrs. Theresa J. Rohver of Elmira and Mrs. Ronal (Jeanette) Christiensen of Penn Yan; step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Abner of Stanford, N.Y.; stepsons, Joseph J. Schiefen and Raymond G. Schiefen, both of Horseheads; sister, Mrs. Helen Monroe of Fisherville; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church.
