Formerly of Paw Paw Aris passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born April 25, 1921 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Arthur B. and Almyra (Tolman) Seelye. On June 6, 1941 in Kalamazoo, Aris was united in marriage to George Richmond, Sr. Aris and George were farmers in the Oshtemo area, baled hay on local farms and delivered milk. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling and was an avid baseball fan. She is survived by a son, George (Deborah) Richmond, Jr., of Lawrence; a daughter, Esther (John) Kilgore of Elwood, IL; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roger (Linda) Seelye of Marcellus and Richard (Betty) Seelye of Hersey, MI; a sister, Carol Rhodes of Paw Paw; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George on September 2, 1987; a daughter, Ann Boyd; and a brother, Barnea Seelye. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM, Rev. Joe Spackman officiating. Interment will follow in Genessee Prairie Cemetery, Oshtemo. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
