Ann Joyce WELDY

Passed away peacefully on October 18, 2018, supported by prayers from her family. Ann was born Ann Seely, on her family’s farm outside of Wauzeka, Wisconsin. She lived in the Wauzeka area with her husband Rodney for most of her adult life, and they raised their family there. Ann and Rod moved to St. Paul in 1986 to be near their new grandson, and stayed for the rest of their lives. For the past 8 years, Ann has lived at Inver Glen Senior Living in Inver Grove Heights, where she received excellent and loving care. Ann lived a life of faith and service, and was always active in her church, and helping those less fortunate. She was committed to spending time with her family, and was known to all her friends as a life-long Cubs fan. She was preceded in death by her husband Rodney, her parents William and Gunda Seely, older sister Ruth, and younger brother Dale. She is survived by her children Mark Weldy (Linda), Lisa Weldy Mendes (Tony), and Susan Weldy (Johnny), her grandchildren Matthew Weldy (Kelsea), Laura Weldy (Bert), and Megan Weldy (Cal), as well as a great granddaughter Rosemary, who brought Ann extra joy during her final months with visits and video calls. She is also survived by her youngest sister Mae Seely Sylvester, sister-in-law Sharon Seely, long-time family friend Susan Kimberly, and by cousins, nieces, and nephews. There will be a memorial service at Virginia Street Church in St. Paul on Thursday November 8th at 6:30PM to remember Ann, with a light luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall. All are invited.
