Alice Bray Alice Lela Mae Bray, 81, a native of Charenton and resident of Good Year, Ariz., died at 12:42 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Israelite Spiritual Divine Church No. 5 in Charenton. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her sons, James (Ruby) Pierre, of St. Martinville, Larry (Mary) Bray, of Duson, Mormon (Judy) Bray III of Surprise, Ariz., and John (Myshia) Bray, of San Fernando, Calif.; daughters, Beulah Elizabeth (Joe) Brown, of Jeanerette, Melba (Rufus) Navy, of Baldwin, and Geraldine Bray, of Crowley; brothers, Olen and Oliver Seeley; sisters, Audrey, Margarette, Mary Grace, Katherine, Gloria, Norma, and Delores; 35 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Pogue Seeley Sr., and Elizabeth Edmond; husband, Mormon Bray II; brothers, Donald, Howard, and Oscar Pogue Seeley Jr., and Ivory Vigirie; and sisters, Flora Bell Taylor, Vivian Anderson, and Ola Gilbeaux.
