Alice LaFay Sealy-Brooks
Alice LaFay Sealy-Brooks was born the 10th of 13 children to Stanley and Lois Sealy on April 13, 1950 in Houston TX. She went to be with the Lord on May 10, 2013. Alice married the love of her life Ruben Brooks Sr. on November 17, 1972 and they enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 32 years. She enjoyed dancing and bowling and participated in leagues with friends for several years. Alice’s family was her love and she was blessed with two daughters, three sons, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Alice is survived by her children, Connie Garrett & husband Ron, Ruben Brooks Jr., William Brooks & wife Melanie, and Forest Brooks. Grandchildren, Dallas Garrett and wife Karla, Drew Nesselrode and husband Drew, David Garrett and wife Amanda, Marty Meyer, RJ Brooks, Johnathan Garrett and Millicent Brooks. Great-grandchildren, Josh, Bree, Natalie, & Rylee Garrett and Kylie & Kaelyn Nesselrode. Brothers, Dickey Sealy & wife Carla, Buddy Sealy & wife Joyce, Bubba Sealy, Randy Sealy & wife Beverly. Sisters, Sissy Joy & husband Dean, Phyllis Barton, Sharron Burnside, Beverly Smith, Sarah Perkins & husband Louis, Nancy Luthi & husband Eddie. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Troylene Hinojosa and sisters Kathy Hereford and Bobbi Sanford.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 at Crespo and Jirrels. Funeral service will be held Thursday May 16, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Crespo and Jirrels with Reverend Thomas Hill officiating. Pallbearers are Dallas, David, Johnathan, and Josh Garrett, Marty Meyer, Drew Nesselrode, and Kregg and Shannon Robertson. Alice will be laid to rest next to her husband at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home.
