Alice G. Denkenberger

Age 86, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2002.  Alice was born on June 8, 1916 in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Floyd and Lena Scarvani Seeley.  She was a communicate of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads, NY, a member of the Horseheads Women’s Moose Auxiliary, and a retired nurse’s aide at Chemung County Nursing Facility in Elmira, NY.  Alice was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph Denkenberger, on March 17, 1988 and her son, Daniel Denkenberger, on July 5, 1998.  Survivors include her children and spouses: Joseph F. & Jean Denkenberger of Horseheads, NY; Edward & Kazuko Denkenberger of Horseheads, NY; Donna & Paul Boor of Horseheads, NY: June & Richard Frycek of Horseheads, NY; and Robert Denkenberger of Phoenix, AZ; daughter-in-law Virginia Denkenberger of Horseheads, NY; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law: George Bartosch of Horseheads, NY; and sister, Marie Shay of Zephyrhills, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Relatives and friends are invited to call the Van Buskirk-Lynch Funeral Home, Mill Street and Grand Central Ave. Horseheads, NY, on Tuesday August 6, 2002 from 9-10 am.  A Memorial Service will be conducted by the Horseheads Women of the Moose Chapter #1832 at 9 am.  Also on Tuesday, August 6, 2002, a prayer service will take place at 10 am at the Funeral Home, and a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary Our Mother Church, Horseheads, NY at 11 am.  Interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery immediately following.
