Louise J. Seley

Louise J. Seley, 89, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in Abilene.
She was born January 15, 1923, in Junction City, the daughter of Charles W. and Eva J. (Williston) Engelman. Growing to womanhood in Abilene, she attended local schools, graduated from Abilene High School and attended Brown Mackie College in Salina.
On October 19, 1947, she was married to Francis G. “Frank” Seley. All of their married life was spent in Abilene. He preceded her in death April 19, 1980.
She had been employed by the Farmer’s National Bank, Mid-America Nursing Center and Royer Clothing. She had been a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, WELCA, Red Hat Society, American Legion Auxiliary, KP&L Janes and American Business Women’s Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Debi (Mosi) Dayani of Aiken, S.C.; a son, Jim (Kathy) Seley of Wichita; three grandchildren, Dara Dayani, Farah Dayani and Dylan Seley; and a sister, Barbara Root of Sunnyvale, CA.
The family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Stephen Haverlah officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Abilene Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be given to the Trinity Lutheran Church or the Hospice of Dickinson County. They may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home, P.O. 758 Abilene, KS 67410.
