Edna Dobasewski
Dobasewski, Edna. Died sometime in the fall of 1985. She was a long time SGS member, a nice lady, very active, a good contributor and supportive. These words from Esther Walter, with additional information from Bessie Steen, member now in San Antonio, TX. Membership record shows her as paid thru August 1985. Regretfully no obituary received, but she was of Carbondale, PA. Her husband was afflicted with Alzheimer’s Disease. They had no children but Edna took care not only of her husband but other ill relatives as well. Edna had two lines of descent. Robert 1; Obad 2; Jonas 3; Samuel 4; John 5; Samuel 6; Phebe 7 m. John Sharp; Truman 8; Edward 9 m. Edith Seeley; Edna 10 m. Geo. Dobasewski.

Edna Dobasewski
Mrs. Edna S. Dobasewski, 21 Coolidge Ave., Carbondale, died Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Carbondale, following a brief illness. She was the wife of George Dobasewski.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Edward and Edith Seeley Sharpe, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Carbondale, and its women’s society. Prior to her retirement was employed by Hendrick Manufacturing Co., Carbondale. She was a member of the Seeley Genealogical Society and Wayne County Historical Society.
Surviving in addition to her husband are several cousins.
The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Oliver R. Shifler Funeral Home, 94 N. Main St., Carbondale, with Rev. Charles F.J. Starzer, pastor, First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
