Frances I. Seely

Frances I. Seely, 88, of Plain City, died Wednesday at Heartland of Marysville.  She was the previous owner of the Seely General Store in Jerome.

She was born July 31, 1902, in Marysville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thaddeus O. Seely, in 1982.

A member of the Jerome United Methodist Church, she was also a member of the women’s association of the church and a 50-year choir member.  She had been a member of the Order of the Easter Star Elizabeth Chapter No. 56 of Plain City for more than 50 years.

Surviving are a son, Thaddeus, Jr., and wife, Nena of Dublin; a daughter Martha Birdwell and husband, Lem of Port Natches, Texas; grandchildren, Debbie Moore, Jeff Birdwell, Chip Seely, Laurel Benefiel and Fred Seely; and a great-granddaughter Amanda Seely.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Jerome United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stephen Cramer officiating.  Burial will be in Jerome Township Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Plain City.
