Sara Jane Seely

Livingston  Sara Jane Seely had worked as a waitress at various businesses, including the Subway Café and the Golden Pheasant, both in Livingston.  She retired in the early 1970s.

Mrs. Seely, 68, died Wednesday in Livingston Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

She was born in Minneapolis, Minn., a daughter of Arthur A. and Zula Johnston.  She moved with her family at an early age to Summit, S.D., where she was educated.  She worked for a time as a waitress.  On Dec. 24, 1941, she married Perry M. Seely Jr. in Livingston.  They lived in both Staples, Minn., and Livingston, settling in Livingston in the late 1970s.

Survivors include two sons, Robert of Livingston and Terry of Staples, Minn.; two daughters, Janet Loudon of Huntsville, Ala., and Kathy Shea of Livingston; a sister, Lucille Mann of Wayzata, Minn.; and 11 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Franzen-Davis-Bebee Chapel with burial of Ashes in Mountain View Cemetery.
