Verna Elizabeth (Graybill) Seeley, age 99, of Harrisburg, and formerly of Highspire, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Verna was born on, Tuesday, September 17, 1918 in Mechanicsburg to the late Winfield Scott Graybill and Lucy Caroline (Kyle) Graybill. Verna was the widow of Emery Winchester Seeley, Jr., whom she married on April 20, 1946, and who died on March 7, 1988. In addition to her parents and husband, Verna is preceded in death by her three brothers and one sister.
Verna’s survivors include her five children: Raymond Scott Seeley and his wife, Carol, of Madison, AL, Sharon Lucy Witter and her husband, William, of Mechanicsburg, Emery Winchester Seeley, III, of Cottonwood, AZ, Elaine Ethel Delia Sargeant, of Mechanicsburg, Gerald Wayne Seeley of Highspire; her nine grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Verna’s family will be celebrating her life privately. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville will be at the family’s convenience. Cremation was private.
Verna’s family has entrusted her care to Myers – Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory in Mechanicsburg.
