Davin Richard Cilley

FRANCESTOWN — Davin Richard Cilley, 45, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Sept. 17, 2002, at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester.

Born March 17, 1957, in Peterborough, he was the son of Richard Chandler and Sylvia (Fairfield) Cilley. He attended Conant High School, Jaffrey, and graduated valedictorian, class of 1975.

Mr. Cilley attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, Conn., and graduated in 1979. He served in the Coast Guard from 1979 to 1987. His service included time aboard the USCG Bark, the tall ship “The Eagle” for the 1976 bicentennial, and posts on the West Coast, the Aleutians, New York, and Key West, Fla.

He lived in Francestown for three years, Gilford for 10 years, and in Jacksonville, Fla., for 14 years. He was active in Boy Scouting for many years.

The family includes his father of Francestown; a stepmother, Jeri (Staak) Cilley of Francestown; a brother, Alan C. Cilley of Pembroke; two sisters, Valerie Morrison of Tilton, Lauren Clark of Belmont; several nieces nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, at 1 p.m. at Community Church, Francestown, with the Rev. Melvin Burrowes, interim pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
