Mrs. Emma L. Cilley

Mrs. Emma Louise Cilley, 87, the mother of Norman O. Cilley of Newmarket and one of the oldest residents of Lee, died yesterday at Exeter hospital after a brief illness.

Mrs. Cilley was born Aug. 29, 1863, in Newburyport, Mass., the daughter of Daniel Ryan and Elizabeth Bass Ryan. She was the widow of Jacob Cilley.

She is survived by two other sons, Warren G. Caswell of Newburyport and Herbert P. Cilley of Portland: one sister, Mrs. Nettie Fellows of Amesbury, Mass.; and three grandsons.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma L. Cilley were held recently from the Brown and Trottier funeral home in Newmarket with the Rev. Ernest A. McKenzie, pastor of the Newmarket Community church, officiating.

Bearers were John Conlon, Arthur Wiggin, Fred McGrath and Charles Hobbs, all of Lee.

The body was places in a tomb to await burial in the spring in the family cemetery in Nottingham.
