Gene Seley, age 48, of Flower Mound, passed away Friday, March 29, 2002 at his home. Gene was born Aug. 16, 1953, in Wichita Falls to Roy Lee and Mona Ray Daily Seley. He married Vickie Waters on Dec. 5, 1987, in Tyler. He was a computer consultant working for Viant, based in Boston, Mass. Gene was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend; his family was his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Vickie of Flower Mound; daughters, Hope Barker of Columbus, Ohio, Staci Plunk of Flower Mound; sons, Travis Plunk of Seattle, Wash., Robert Plunk of Flower Mound; stepfather, W.Z. Gatewood Jr. of Tyler; sisters, Joyce Starkey of Avinger, Karen Papari of Dallas, Mona Burch of Tyler; brothers, Kenneth Seley of Troup, Mike Seley of Tunertown; and two grandchildren, Samuel David Barker and Jessie Marie Jimenez. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2002, at Dover Baptist Church in Carroll. Brother James Rutledge will officiate at the service. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Vista Care Family Hospice, 625 Dallas Drive, Denton, 76205; or to the American Cancer Society.
