Ward A. Seeley

HUDSON FALLS – Ward A. (Bud) Seeley, 62, of White Birch Estates, Town of Moreau, died unexpectedly Saturday (Nov. 15, 1980) in Ellis Hospital, Schenectady.

Mr. Seeley was born June 27, 1918 in Hudson Falls, the son of Clifton and Clara (Washburn) Seeley.  He was retired as a Hudson Falls Junior High School custodian.

Mr. Seeley had been center fielder for the former Independents semi-pro baseball team.  He coached several championship middle and Little League teams.

Mr. Seeley was an avid golfer, having won several trophies.  He was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Assembly of God Church.

Survivors are:  his wife, Vivian (Mullen) Seeley; two sons, Ward Seeley Jr. of Melbourne, Fla., and Robert Seeley of Chicago; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Anne) Fletcher of Jersey City, N.J., Mrs. Alvin (Virginia) Dean of Glens Falls and Mrs. Susan Larkins of Schenectady; four brothers, Clifton, Gerald and Donald Seeley, all of South Glens Falls, and Robert Seeley of Glens Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Milford (Eleanor) Eggleston of South Glens Falls and Mrs. Paul (Virginia) Rainbow of Maryland; 21 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Carleton Funeral Home, 68 Main St., Hudson Falls, by the Rev. Lawrence R. Larson, pastor of the Gospel Lighthouse Church.  Interment will be in Moss Street Cemetery, Kingsbury.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

The family has suggested that memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the charity of one’s choice.
