July 30, 1924 – December 21, 2017

Thelma Seeley, of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away December 21, 2017, in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Thelma was born to Herb and Katie Simpson on July 30, 1924, in Grand Junction, Colorado.

On February 2, 1947, she married Gene Seeley; they were married for 62 wonderful years. During this time, they had six children.

Following graduation from Grand Junction High, Thelma attended nursing school. After 36 years of nursing in the Grand Valley she retired from Dr. James Todd’s practice in 1986. She was a member of the Mesa County Possettes and Royal Neighbors of America.

After retirement she and Gene enjoyed spending their summers living on Pinyon Mesa where they enjoyed their grandchildren, fishing, site seeing, and taking walks. She also enjoyed her chocolate, crocheting, Las Vegas, and was an avid reader.

Survivors include children, Janet (Ron) Forsman of Fruita, CO; Lorraine Forsman of Fruita, CO; Linda (Stan) Grimmett of Bloomington, IN; Joyce Eiland (Dale) of Aledo, IL; Herb (Denean) Seeley of Dixon, WY, and Kenny (Lori) Seeley of Clifton, CO. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Ralph Seeley; ten grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday December 28, 2017, at Martin Mortuary, 550 North Ave., Grand Juntion 81501.
