Sam Seeley

UNICOI- Mr. Sam Seeley, age 27, 150 Seeley Road, Unicoi, died Saturday, May 29, 2004, as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Mr. Seeley was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and the son of Skip and Becky Ragan Seeley.

He was employed as a combination welder with TIC Co.

Mr. Seeley was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Johnson City.

He was a Class of ’95 All Conference Unicoi County football player and All Star baseball player.

Mr. Seeley was an avid deer and bear hunter and fisherman, and he loved to collect arrowheads.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Beulah Dean Ragan, and paternal grandparents, Earl and Lucille Seeley.

Survivors other than his parents, include his wife Amy Osteen Seeley; two daughters, Caroline Seeley and Aubrey Seeley, both of the home; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Andy Gaddy, Unicoi, Criste and Dan May, Maryland, and Melena and Todd Madonna, Pennsylvania; maternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Ulyess and Evelyn Ragan, Unicoi; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. Seeley will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday from the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Gary Edwards and David Byrd will officiate.  Music will be provided by Melissa Tipton, Kim Berry and Inez Chandler.  Committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Roselawn Memory Gardens, Johnson City.  Skip Seeley, Willie Morrow, Adam Garland, Daniel Ragan, Chris Gardner and Mark Gardner will serve as active pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Gaddy, Shawn Hensley, David Whitson and Joseph Freeland.  Pallbearers are requested to assemble at the funeral home by 7L30 p.m. Tuesday and at the cemetery by 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.  Family, minister and friends may gather at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.  The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the residence, 150 Seeley Road, Unicoi.
