Andover – Funeral services for Miss Ruth L. Seely, of Lake Lenape road, Andover Township, were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Smith Funeral Home, 63 High street, Newton, by the Rev. Carlos Page pastor of the Andover Methodist Church. Burial was in Andover Cemetery.
Miss Seely died Thursday, Jan. 9, in Newton Memorial Hospital of a heart ailment. Born in Andover 36 years ago, she had lived here all her life. She had been employed for a number of years as a private secretary at Limestone Products Corporation of American in Newton, leaving that position two years ago to accept on at the International Paper Company in Whipany.
A member of the Andover Methodist Church, she was a Sunday School teacher there for the past 20 years. She was a member of the choir and a director of the junior choir. She also was a member of Melchior Chapter, Order of the eastern Star, Newton.
Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Seely of Andover, two brothers, Earle J. of Sparta Township, and Francis of Andover, and two sisters, Mrs. Herman Boepple, of Cranberry Lake, and Miss Ila M. Seely, of Miami, Fla.
