Gloria Cleo Nelson Seely, age 78, passed away peacefully at home in Pleasant Grove, Utah early in the morning on February 10, 2004. She was born June 19, 1925 in Ferron, Utah, the daughter of Ferris Ole and Cleo Louisa Hitchcock Nelson. She was the beloved wife of J. Dale Seely, married on November 19, 1944 in the Manti LDS Temple. Gloria grew up in Ferron and graduated from South Emery High School and later from Snow College. She and Dale raised their family in Pleasant Grove. Gloria was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings during her life. She especially enjoyed her callings which involved music. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Gloria was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and quilting for family and friends, and especially loved her flower gardens. She is survived by her husband and sweetheart of 60 years, J. Dale Seely, Pleasant Grove; children: Nelson Dale (Patricia) Seely, Cove, UT; Lynn Ruel (Darlene) Seely, Pleasant Grove; Cheryl (Clyde) Morgan, Lancaster, CA; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Sharlotte Traveller, St. George. Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, Sheridan Ferris Nelson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Second Ward Chapel, 455 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Fri. evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 S. 300 E., Pleasant Grove and at the church on Sat., one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
