Elvin Anthony Seely 1922 ~ 2007

Elvin Anthony Seely passed away June 23, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born February 6, 1922 in Hiawatha, Utah. Married Edna Margaret Rowley June 21, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death November 16, 2005. He grew up in the Castle Dale area. He was an excellent husband, father, and grandfather. He served honorably in World War II with the United States Army, 74th Infantry. He fought valiantly in the Battle of the Bulge. He was an active member of the LDS Church having served in many capacities as a temple worker at the Jordan River Temple, and within stake presidencies and bishoprics. At one time he served as a Regional Representative in the upper peninsula of Michigan and Saulte Ste. Marie Southern Ontario, Canada. He was an electrical engineer for 30 years with the United States Steel Corporation. Lived in Price, Salt Lake, Cedar City, Lander, Wyoming, Rogers City, Michigan, and Saulte Ste. Marie, Michigan. Survivors include children, SuzAnne Seely (David) McOmie, Kathleen Seely (Kenneth-deceased) Whites, and Douglas Lynn (Linda) Seely; 16 grandchildren; and 26 grandchildren. Also preceded in death by his parents, Levi Earl and Wilmertha Moore Seely; brothers and sisters, Drannon, Vernell, Sybil, Leith, and Levi Earl. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26th, 2007 in the West Jordan Copper Hills 1st Ward, 5176 West Parr Drive (8440 South). A viewing will take place at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and also at the ward Tuesday one hour prior to the services. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
