Elaine J. (Fredette) Seely

Elaine J. (Fredette) Seely, 70 of Taine Mountain Road, Unionville, wife of Kenneth Charles Seely, died Friday, (August 30, 2002) at home. She was born April 1, 1932 in Bristol, daughter of the late Chester W. and Bertha R. (Lacroix) Fredette, and lived in Bristol prior to moving to Unionville 48 years ago. She was a graduate of the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing and was employed at the Farmington Obstetric and Gynecology Group for many years as a registered nurse, a profession she worked in for more than 47 years prior to her retirement in 1990. She was a member of the Farmington Valley Women’s Club where she served as chairperson and was instrumental in the formation of the Dr. Edward P. Dunne Scholarship Fund in Farmington. She was a volunteer for the Farmington Valley Visiting Nurses Association and the Red Cross, where she helped with the flu and blood pressure clinics in Avon and Unionville. Besides her husband of 48 years, she is survived by a son, Kent Seely and his wife, Holly A. Momm-Seely of Colebrook; a daughter, Lynn Czernicki and her husband, Richard of Burlington; a sister, Muriel Sulli of Burlington; two grandson, Cameron and Colin Seely; and two granddaughters, Jessica and Alison Czernicki. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 14, 12:30 p.m. at St. Gregory Church, 235 Maltby Street, Bristol. Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike, Canton has charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Dr. Edward P. Dunne Schorlarship Fund, P.O. Box 425, Unionville 06085, or Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington 06111.
