Death of Eddy Seely

Eddy Seely died at the home of his son, John Seely, at Flint, Mich., and was buried at Midland, Mich., Oct. 23, 1910. He was 83 years old in January last.

Eddy Seely was born on what is known at the Taft place on the river road in Deerfield and was one of a family of fourteen children, all of whom are now dead but one brother, Melvin H. Seely, of Oklahoma, and one sister, Mrs. Lois Carpenter, who resides on the Carpenter homestead farm near Academy Corners. He is also survived by two sons, John Seely, of Flint, Mich., and Willard Seely, of Midland, Mich. He was twice married, his first wife was Emily Cloos, of Chatham, and his second Electa Cure, of Brookfield, this county.

Mr. Seely went to Michigan many years ago but made several visits back to his native state, and as we call it to mind he visited here about three years ago, have many relatives and friends in this section. He was always a subscriber to the Courier.

Published in unidentified (Courier) and undated obituary donated to the Seeley Genealogical Society.
