Charles Seely Dies Thursday of Heart Attack

Charles Richard Seely, 44, of 1106 Haskell Street died at 8:35 a.m. Thursday, July 17, shortly after he was admitted to St. Joseph’s Hospital suffering from an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Seely had lived in Wellington 20 years and for a number of years had been employed by Gene Bawcom to do farm work.

He was born June 20, 1925, the son of H.W. and Laura Barns Seely.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Church of Christ with Minister Gaylord Cook officiating.  Burial was in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Kelso Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Leamon Bawcom, Kyle Lindley, Tommy Lindley, Delmer Turner, Gary Thomas and Carl Daves.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Margaruite Seely of Wellington; three sons and five daughters; Troy Seely, Alfa Don Seely, Mrs. Michael Gilmore, Edith Hicks, Debbie Hicks, Sharlotte Hicks, and Ardia Seely, all of Wellington and Sammy Hicks of Seattle, WA.

Also surviving are five brothers and three sisters; Jack Seely, Carrol Seely, Calvin Seely, and Dub Seely of Fort Worth; Clois Seely of Blue Mountain; Mrs. Frances Kittrell of Thatcher, AZ; Mrs. G.D. Rodgers of Quincy, IL; and Mrs. Nell Fairchild of Amarlllo.
