Arden Ray Seely age 58 passed away February 20, 2003 at his home in Bluffdale.

He was born September 24, 1944 in Price, Utah.

A son of Willis R. and Ruby Jenkins Seely. Married Vicki Pugh Nov. 29, 1963, later divorced. Married Kori Allred Llewellyn Oct. 23, 1990 in Prescott, Arizona.

He is survived by wife Kori, daughter Michelle (Frank) Knebel, granddaughters: Xandra Knebel, Taetum Knebel, Phoenix, AZ, stepsons: Jeremy Llewellyn, Riverton, Steven Llewellyn, West Laffayette, IN, stepdaughters: SheaLynn Llewellyn and Kimber Llewellyn both Riverton, one brother, Buzz Seely, Price, best friend Rex Stanton, and his beloved dog Router.

He graduated from Carbon High School in 1962. Proudly served his country in Vietnam, as Sgt. 7th Special Forces Airborne (Medic). Graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah School of Pharmacy in 1975.

Arden worked as a pharmacist in Salt Lake & Utah County for Smith’s Food and Drug and most recently at Costco. He had a keen sense of humor and loved a good practical joke. He spent many hours watching sports, especially his beloved U of U. Arden’s greatest love however, were the years he and Kori spent raising and racing Thoroughbred race horses. He spent many happy hours hanging on the back side & cheering on his favorite horse.

At Arden’s request there will be no services. His ashes will be scattered at Turf Paradise race track in Phoenix, AZ. A memorial marker will be placed at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park. The family asks that you make donations to the Bureau of Land Management Wild Horse Program in his name to, 4 Mustangs & Burros, BLM, P.O. Box 12000, Reno, Nevada 89520-0006, Attn. Business Mgr.

In his memory place a $2 bet on your favorite horse and drink a beer for him when that horse comes in.
