At a quiet ceremony Saturday at 7 p.m. Saturday at 7 p.m. in First Methodist church, Miss Dorothy Burnett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.V. Burnett, White street, became the bride of Gilbert B. Seely, son of Mr. and Mrs. G.B. Seely, Cypress street.  Rev. John Mealley solemnized the rites.

The bride wore a poudre blue frock with navy accessories and a corsage of early fall blossoms.  Gladys Burnett, sister of the bride, was her only attendant.  She wore a pale pink frock with brown accessories and a corsage of fall flowers.  George Mericka was best man.

A brown autumn frock with lighter accessories was Mrs. Burnett’s choice of attire for her daughter’s wedding.  Mrs. Seely chose in a navy blue ensemble with matching accessories.  Both wore shoulder corsages.

A tiered wedding cake traditionally centered the bride’s table at the wedding dinner held at St. Clair Inn following the service.  Bouquets of flowers and candelabra filled with glowing tapers completed the table decorations.

After a short honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Seely will reside at 2310 Minne street.
