Esther A. Thornton, 80, Columbus, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Columbus to Albert and Anna (Brennan) Seely on May 22, 1930, Esther is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard E. Thornton and many brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughters, Angela Bond, Marianne (Jeff Bolon) Columbro, Bonnie Columbro; son, Charles (Lora) Columbro; grandchildren, Victor (Shelley) Bond, Amy Bond, Richard Columbro, Eric Columbro and Dawn Crum; great-grandchildren, Kristen Muffley, Tyler and Brady Bond. Esther was owner/operator of B&B Pizza since 1971 and retired in 2000. She was a member of the North United Methodist Church and Linden Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 2252. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service Friday, July 30, 2010, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
