Betty Francis Stradley

Services for Betty Francis Stradley, 65, of Eastman, were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 17, at Eastman Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sam Farris officiating.

Mrs. Stradley was born November 14, 1938, at Garber, the daughter of Edbert and Tresa Mae Rainey Seely. She died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore.

A resident of Love County for the past 30 years, Mrs. Stradley had previously lived in California. She and Thomas Elvin “Tom” Stradley were married August 10, 1954, in Garber, where she attended school. Mrs. Stradley was a homemaker and a member of the Eastman Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Elvin Stradley of the home; a son, Kevin Stradley of Eastman; three daughters, Terrinda Stewart of Oklahoma City, Victoria Lynn Stradley of Antlers, and Torree LaFevers of Overbrook; a sister, Joyce Rouser of Houston; four grandchildren; Amber Dawn, Erin Victoria, Erica Danielle and Darrian Nicole; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces including Evelyn Mae Robinson of Edmond.

Mrs. Stradley was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William Seely, Harold Seely and Raymond Seely; a sister, Mildred Schriber; and a nephew, David Rouser.

Pallbearers were Brannon Burroughs, Ken Black, Buford Rackley, Bub Williams, A.J. McMillian, Jimmy Keller. Honorary bearers were Dr. J.T. O’Connor, Jack Langford and Donald Stewart.

Interment was in the Eastman Cemetery, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
