Hinsdale Services For Seely

Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Hinsdale Lutheran Church for Guy Seely, 72, Hinsdale pioneer and resident of Havre for several years.  Rev. Elvin Tollefson officiated at the funeral, and burial was in the Hillview cemetery.  Legion Post 45 of Hinsdale conducted military rites at the graveside for Seely, who had been a member of the American Legion for 50 years.

Born in Pomeroy, Iowa, Guy Seely lived in Hinsdale for nearly 66 years, operating the Hinsdale Dray Line.  After his retirement he moved to Havre, purchasing a home near his son, Albert Seely.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor; two sons, Albert of Havre and Charles of Menlo Park, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Norma) McNulty of Lake Grove, N.Y., and Mrs. Harvey (Ethel) Ost of Glasgow; 18 grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Steve Montgomery of Saco and Mrs. Charlotte Harpster of Pennsylvania.
