Angel is doing research on her Sherwood ancestors and she’s at an impasse She has an ancestor, Anson Sherwood, b. 3 May 1793 possibly in Orangeville, NY. He married a Polly Seeley but Angel has no dates for Polly or her marriage or parentage. They had several children. Among them were Charles, Sherman, Warren and Malcolm. There were others. Do you have anything that might help us?

Initial Response Information:
Dan Seelye responded to Angel that his records had a Polly Seely (SGS # 3191, 8th generation in the Obadiah line), b. 16 Jun 1789 in CT, who married Anson Sherwood (b. about 1793). Polly’s parents, per the Seventh Generation Book, were Samuel Seeley (SGS # 1392, 7th generation) and Ruth Finch (b. 20 Sep 1787). In an Email Dan forwarded to Angel, “Bunny at: wrpte@micron.net” listed their children as: Malcom (b. 1823 NY), Ruth (b. 1831 NY), and William C. B. (b. about 1818 NY). Per John Seely (SGS Database Coordinator), Polly’s birth date is 16 Jun 1789 per the Barbour Collection of CT Vital Records of Stamford: V2p59.
