Norman E. Seeley

Norman Seeley, 79, of Peoria, chief executive of Califon Lumber Co., died Jan. 29, 1995.  He was born in Irvington, N.J., and was a member of the Rotary Club.  Survivors include his wife, Anita; daughters, Deborah Prostak and Diane; and one grandchild.  Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City.  Contributions: Arizona Humane Society, 9226 N. 13th Ave., Phoenix, Az 95021.

Norman E. Seeley, lumber company official

Norman E. Seeley, 79, died Sunday (Jan. 29, 1995) in Sun City, Ariz.

Born in Irvington, Mr. Seeley lived in Lebanon Township before moving to Sun City in 1978.

He was chairman of the board of Califon Lumber Co. in Califon from 1941 until 1979.  Prior to that Mr. Seeley worked for Bernards Builders and Conkling Lumber Co., formerly of Bernardsville.

He was a 1933 graduate of Bernards High School in Bernardsville and a 1935 graduate of Morris County Junior College.

Mr. Seeley was a former member of the North Hunterdon Rotary Club of Clinton, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow; former elder of the Lower Valley Presbyterian Church in Califon; past president of Lebanon Township Board of Education; past president, treasurer and chief of Califon Fire Company; and a member of the Lakeview Rotary Club in Sun City.

Surviving are his wife, Anita Coon Seeley; two daughters, Diane L. Seeley of Peoria, Ariz., and Deborah W. Prostak of New Berlin, N.Y.; and one grandson.

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Couglin Funeral Home in Califon.  Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
