Norma Jean Cilley

Norma was born in New London, Connecticut to Charles and Eliza Derry.

Being a dedicated military wife she graciously pack up and moved to Alabama, Louisiana, Illinois, Texas, and Florida before retiring to Albuq., NM.

She is survived by her sister, Alice Price; her daughter Shirley A. Tetreault and husband Albert; son Gilbert V. Cilley Jr. and wife Melissa; grandsons are MSgt Allen J. Tetreault and wife Laura, Kenneth J. Tetreault and wife Brandi, Gilbert V. Cilley III, Kenneth R. Cilley and wife Carrie, Chris Walton and Justin Haynes; granddaughters are Stacia and Drea Cilley; her “Greats” are Kellen, Brooke, Katie, Amy, Jennifer Tetreault, and Jordan Cilley.

Norma graduated from “The School of Hard Knocks” and had a Masters Degree from the University of Loving, Caring and Sharing. She devoted her entire life to caring for someone, sharing her time and making sure you knew how much she loved you. When raising her two children, she made sure that every day after school there was either a fresh baked lemon meringue pie or a hot loaf of bread sitting on the counter. Norma enjoyed being a member of Uptown Garden Club and making cupcakes with her grandchildren. She loved to lick the spoon. A wonderful, caring, sharing nurturing mama/ grandma went home today but she will live in our hearts forever.

A celebration of her life will take place on Monday, December the 7th, 10:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 11515 Lomas N.E., by Paster Chis Heller. She will be interred in the National Cemetery, with her husband, in Santa Fe at 2:15 p.m.
