Minnie Marie Seeley

Minnie Marie Seeley, age 67, of Addison, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center.  She was born on December 21, 1946 in Columbus, Georgia, the daughter of the late Thomas and Minnie Marie (Clark) Matherly.  She married Richard S. Seely on May 23, 1970 in Painted Post.

Minnie Marie was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a talented artist and a former crossing guard for the Addision Police Department.  Minnie Marie was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Addison American Legion.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard S. Seeley, daughter and son-in-law, Monica and John Jackson of Watkins Glen and Melissa and Edward McPherson of Corning, grandchildren, Nancy Jackson, Katarena Jackson, Seth McPherson, and Baby McPherson; brothers, Thomas (Rainey) Matherly and Charlie Matherly; sister-in-law, Elain Matherly of Chandler, Arizona; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.  Minnie Marie was predeceased by her brothers, Bryan Matherly and Harley Matherly.

Family and friends are invited to participate in a Celebration of Minnie Marie’s Life on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Marconi Lodge, 26 West Pulteney Street, Corning, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
