MRS. MARY SEELY DIES AT ARROYO GRANDE TODAY

Well Known Resident, Who Has Lived in County Since the Early Seventies, Passes Away After Long Illness

Arroyo Grande, April 18. – Mrs. Mary J. Seely, who has been a resident of San Luis Obispo county since the early seventies, passed away at her home here this morning after an illness covering several months.  Mrs. Seely, who is extensively known throughout the county, is survived by a son, Horace Seely, of Arroyo Grande, a niece, Mrs. R.J. Reynolds, of San Luis Obispo, and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in Arroyo Grande on Thursday afternoon, the time to be announced later.  Interment will be made here.

MRS. MARY SEELY TO BE BURIED AT ARROYO GRANDE

Arroyo Grande, April 19. – Funeral services for the late Mrs. Mary Seely will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Arroyo Grande Methodist church, Mrs. Seely was a native of Ohio and at the time of her death had reached the ripe old age of 83 years, 11 months and 25 days.  When she first came to California she lived at Napa, but in 1871 she moved to San Luis Obispo and with her husband, Timothy Seely, made her home at the G.W. Long place just out of that city.  In 1875 they moved to Arroyo Grande where Mr. Seely died in 1900, and Mrs. Seely made her home until her death on Tuesday morning.
