Margaret Seelye, 84, Selinsgrove

Selinsgrove – Margaret G. Seelye, 84, of North Market Street, died Saturday morning, June 27, 1992, in her home.
Born Oct. 5, 1907, in Plymouth, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Rowlands Griffith. She was married to Hugh Lyle Seelye, who died in 1967.
She was a graduate of Edwardsville High School and Mansfield State Normal School.
Mrs. Seelye taught in the Edwardsville School District and taught home economics in the Trevorton schools and Northumberland schools.
She is survived by a son, H. Ned Seelye of Washington D.C.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Friffith of Bloomsburg; and a sister, Cora G. Byrne of Arcadia, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor Catalano; and a sister, Eleanor Williams.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville, by the Rev. Raymond Shearer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
