CHARLESTON – Mabel O. Seeley, 88, of Charleston died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 29, 1992) at the Cambridge Court Manor in Charleston.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Harper-Swickard Chapel with the Rev. Gene Sims officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

She was born May 9, 1903, in Lerna, the daughter of Alonzo and Elizabeth Hughes Anderson.  She married James Seeley in 1923; he died in 1948.

Surviving is a son, Raymond Seeley of Charleston; two daughters, Wilma Pedigo of Hume and Phyllis Cristoff of Escondido, Calif.; a brother, George Anderson of Holiday, Fla.; three sisters, Ethel Negley of Charleston, Minnie Perry of Harvey and Marie McCord of Covington, Ind.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Seeley had worked at J.C. Penny’s in Charleston for many years.
