Mrs. Will Seely Passes Following Long Illness

Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Seely, wife of Will Seely and a native of the Hank’s Exchange section will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon from the Dillinger mortuary chapel. The Rev. Charles W. Null will have charge and burial will be in the family plot at Oak Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Seeley passed away early Thursday at her residence on Nob Hill, following an illness of many months duration.

Born in the Hank’s Exchange section, she spent her girl-hood there, coming to Placerville to live following her marriage. She and Mr. Seely lived for many years on Spring Street and later moved to Nob Hill.

Mr. and Mrs. Seely spent several months in the fore part of this winter at San Diego in the hope that the change of location might prove beneficial to her health.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, John and Andrew Smith, of Hank’s Exchange, and two nephews, Fred Mell, of this county, and John Mell of San Diego; and a niece, Mrs. Higgins, of Reno.
