Joseph Earl Seelye
Joseph Earl Seelye 63, resident of Richmond, Texas.
Joe was born in Louisville, Kentucky to parents James and Bernice (Loving) Seelye on August 12, 1957, and passed away in Richmond, Texas on January 16, 2021.
Joe grew up in San Antonio and spent much of his adult life there before settling in Richmond. He loved his children, and enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up. He was a man of many talents, but spent much of his life in the landscaping and garage door industries. He was a lover of horticulture and could easily identify plants, flowers, and trees on a whim. He also owned his own garage door business for a number of years. He was a long-time fan of the Dallas Cowboys, loved country music, enjoyed shooting his guns at the gun range, had been a motorcycle enthusiast traveling across the country on his Gold Wing with family, and was quite the two-stepper in his younger days.
He is survived by his children Teresa Cunningham (Shadd) of Hillsboro, Oregon, Lisa Reyes (Jerry) of Rosenberg, Texas, Jay Seelye (Ashley) of Houston, Texas, Jessica Silva (Jeff) of San Antonio, Texas, and Travis Seelye of Wichita Falls, Texas. His Sister’s Emily Gregg (Cecil), Donna Hargrave (Robert), Brother John Seelye (Carolyn).
Grandchildren: Tori (Jacob); Lauren, Caleb, Tre, Chandler, Jeremiah, Allison, Ethan, Lexi, Jack, and baby Seelye.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents James and Bernice Seelye, sister Debbie Riggan, and brother James Seelye.
The service will be held on Monday, Jan. 25 with the funeral services presided by Caballero Ryder Funeral Home.
