J. P. was born July 8, 1916 in Wake County to the late Wade Hamilton Seley and Dorcas Ann House Seley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Turner Seley on June 22, 2009. Surviving: son, Reverend Dale Seley and wife, Mary Susan of Newport News, VA; daughters, June S. Ferrell and husband, Ronnie of Cary, LuAnn S. Wooters of Wendell; grandchildren, Carla Seley, Davis Ferrell, Devan Ferrell, Anna Hale, John Hale. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 at Tippett’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 2530 Shotwell Road, Clayton, NC 27520 with Dr. Eddie Moody officiating. Entombment: Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 12830 US Hwy. 70 West, Clayton, NC 27520 The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 14, 2010 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 and other times at the home of LuAnn S. Wooters, 9905 Poole Road, Wendell, NC 27591. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tippett’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 2530 Shotwell Road, Clayton, NC 27520.
