H. Ned Seelye, passed away Friday, November 7th. Born February 4, 1934. Ned spent most of his life making improvements internationally for the educationally underprivileged. He loved books, writing, and furthering cross cultural understanding.  Throughout the years he made friends traveling the world over.  In 1991, he was presented the “Pioneer in Bilingual Education” award by the National Association of Bilingual Education.  Those around him developed through thought provoking, challenging and frank discussions with him.  His thirst for humor always led to his resounding laughter which still rings in our hearts.  His family and friends will miss him dearly.  He is succeeded by three sons and three grandchildren, David and Kaye Seelye with Nathan, Carissa and Christy; Alan & Cristina Seelye-James; Michael Seelye; and Clara Seelye, the mother of his three children.  Burial at Dennison Cemetery, Swoyersville, PA 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15.
