He was born in Pennsylvania. His wife died in 1946. He is a former resident of the Chester, S.D. area.
Survivors include two sons, Merlin and Bill, Orange, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Hobbs, Chino, Calif.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and two great-great—grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Weiland Funeral Chapel, Madison. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester, S.D.
