SEELEY, FRANCES B. – Private Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Doughty Calhoun-O’Meara Mortuary for Frances B. Seeley, 77, 1717 Orange St., who died Nov. 10 in a Bakersfield hospital. The Rev. Joyce Wesley Farr, of the First Methodist Church will officiate. Cremation will follow in the Bakersfield Memorial Park Crematory. The deceased was a native of Shandon, Calif., and had lived in Bakersfield the past 45 years. She was a registered nurse, having graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1927, and worked at Mercy until her retirement 10 years ago. She was a member of the California State Nurses Association. Survivors include one son, Sgt. Michael Barlow Seeley of the USAF stationed at Travis AFB; a brother, Ned Barlow of Arvin; three granddaughters. Friends may make donations to the American Cancer Society.
