Eleanor A. Johnson Seely

Hinsdale – Eleanor A. Johnson Seely, 87, a longtime Hinsdale homemaker, died of natural causes Wednesday in a Glasgow nursing home.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bell Mortuary in Glasgow.  Burial will be in Hillview Cemetery at Hinsdale.

Born on July 2, 1905, in Kindred, N.D., she came to Montana as a child when her family homesteaded north of Hinsdale and she attended Snake Creek School.  She married Guy Seely on Nov. 14, 1925, in Glasgow.

The couple lived in Hinsdale where she worked in a café and Chester Hotel.

She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Her husband died in 1969.

Survivors include sons, Charles Seely of Columbia Falls and Al Seely of Havre, daughters, Norma McNulty of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Ethel Ost of Fort Peck, 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
