Nisland  Services for Edgar Seely, 75, will be conducted by the Rev. Roger Olness at 1 p.m. Thursday in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Spearfish.  Burial, with military graveside rites, will be in Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis under direction of Frost & Sons Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established to the Heart Fund.

Seely died Monday at his home in Nisland.  He was born Feb. 23, 1907, at Larchwood, Iowa, to Levi and Lillian Seely.  He entered the Army in June 1942 and was discharged in November 1945.

Seely married Mocene Taylor Dec. 28, 1942, in Hardington, Neb.  After his discharge from military service, they farmed in Ramona area until ill health forced his retirement.  In June 1968 they moved to Spearfish and in October 1981 to Nisland.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Surviving is his wife, Mocene, Nisland; two daughters, Rosann Seely of Spearfish and Mrs. Gordon (Lily May) Odell of Nisland; one sister, Harriet Klasterbuer; two brothers, Milton of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Harry of El Segundo, Calif., and a number of nieces and nephews.

One sister preceded him in death.
