Earle Seely

Earle Seely, 85, retired machinist

Sparta Twp. – Earle Seely died yesterday at St. Clare’s Hospital/Denville after a long illness.  He was 85.

Born in Halsted, Pa., Mr. Seely moved to Sparta 50 years ago.  He worked as a machinist on the Manhattan Project during World War II and for Minecrest Corp. for many years before retiring in 1973.

Survivors include his wife of more than 60 years, Dorothea; one son, Earle M. of Boonton; one brother, Francis “Cap” of Florida; two sisters, Esther Boebple of Cranberry Lake and Ila House of Florida; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home, 1 Baker Ave., Dover.
