Entombment: Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 12830 U.S. 70 West, Clayton, NC 27520 Surviving: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Angus Turner and Rudolph Turner; sisters, Pauline Turner, Betty Lou Dawson and Myrtie Lee. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 and other times at the home. Dorothy Turner Seley, 82, formerly of 9849 Poole Road, Wendell, passed away after many years of declining health, Monday, June 22, 2009 at Guardian Care. Dorothy was born October 19, 1926 in Johnston County to the late William Gaston Turner and Ida O’Neal Turner. She retired with 20 years of service with North Carolina State Government. As long as her health permitted, she was an active member of Tippett’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a wonderful homemaker. Her first love was her family and her second was her beautiful flowers.
