Dorothy G. Cilley, 95, of Kennebunk, died peacefully on Friday evening, June 19, 2015, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born in Quincy, Mass., graduated from Quincy High School, and attended Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston. Dorothy worked at the Quincy Shipyard and Jason T. Chirueg Advertising Company where she met her future husband, Charles D. Cilley. They married just before he went off to Camp Polk in Louisiana on his way to Germany in World War II. They had four children. Dorothy loved to cook for family and their friends. She raised her family in Weymouth, Mass., and was active in the First Congregational Church as a member of the Ladies Benevolent Society and book club. She loved to read and listen to the radio, in particular WBZ, Jerry Williams and Paul Benzaquin to name a few. She was a great conversationalist. Dorothy was at her best as a mother with a house full of kids and puppies in the kitchen. She also resided in Dover, N.H., Wells, Maine, and, most recently, with the many good people at the Kennebunk Atria. Her family is grateful for her friendship with Sara. Age was only a number to Dorothy. She was passionate about life and revered her many memories. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles D. Cilley, daughter, Andrea R. Cilley, and son, Charles D. Cilley, Jr. She leaves son, David and wife Patricia of Wells; son, Timothy and wife Lucila of Lyman, Maine; and five grandchildren. A private interment was held at Pine Hill Cemetery in Dover, N.H.
