Dorothy A. (Morrill) Cilley
FRANKLIN — Dorothy A. (Morrill) Cilley, 97, formerly of 34 Damy Drive, died at Mountain Ridge Genesis Eldercare Sept. 29, 2003.
She was born in Contoocook Sept. 10, 1906, the daughter of Ernest and Emma (Cookson) Morrill. She resided in Franklin since her early childhood.
Mrs. Cilley volunteered at Franklin Senior Center for more than 20 years and attended Grace Evangelical Church in Penacook.
She was predeceased by her husband, Allen P. Cilley, in 1955.
Mrs. Cilley enjoyed reading and playing cards. She also enjoyed traveling, especially throughout the Northeast and took part in many trips with the TRIP Center in Franklin.
Family members include 10 children, Charlotte Sutton of Stockton, Calif., Beverly Chapman, Evelyn Hurd, and Wayne Cilley, all of Franklin; Karl E. Grant of Concord, Patricia Chase of Franklin, Glenn Cilley of Hill, Virginia Fecteau of Franklin, Emma Sharon of Tilton, and Kathy Lavigne of Franklin; many grandchildren, great-grandchilden and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Verna Moore of Barton, Vt.; nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St.
The service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Charles Lucchesi officiating.
